Saurashtra Leuva Patel Samaj Canada is a cultural and social community of families with roots in Saurashtra, Gujarat.
From the fields of Saurashtra to cities across Canada, our families carry the same values: hard work, faith, and looking after one another.

The Leuva Patels are one of the two main branches of Gujarat's Patidar community. Community tradition traces the name to Lav, son of Lord Ram.
Rooted in the land
Our ancestors were farmers, then known as Kanbis. Over generations the community took the title “Patel”.
Saurashtra, our home
Families settled across Rajkot, Amreli, Junagadh, Bhavnagar and beyond — farming, then trade, industry and Surat's diamond business.
Maa Khodiyar & Khodaldham
Our kuldevi is Maa Khodiyar. Shree Khodaldham at Kagvad, near Jetpur, brings the Leuva Patel community together in faith and service.
Together in Canada
Families who came to Canada for study and work found each other again — and built a samaj where Garba, Diwali and picnics feel like home.
